A variety of funding options are available to assist with Speech Therapy

Keeping up with the costs of raising children can be a burden. There are a variety of funding assistance options available, especially if your child has special needs. If you are unsure ask your Doctor/General Practitioner (GP). We have compiled some information that may assist you.

Private Health Insurance

A percentage of the cost for the assessment and/or therapy sessions may be claimed back through your private health provider. Please check with your private health insurer to determine if you are eligible for any rebates. We are registered with most major health funds and have HICAPS facilities that enable you to claim your rebate on the spot. For more information visit: www.hicaps.com.au

Chronic Disease Management Plan

People with a chronic medical condition could be eligible to receive help to cover allied health services, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy or audiology. A chronic medical condition means the condition has to be present for more than 6 months, which includes most communication difficulties. The Chronic Disease Management Plan is completed by your GP.
